Founded by guitarist and Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee Mick Jones, Foreigner is one of the most successful rock bands of all time. The band’s legendary songs, 16 of which landed in the Billboard Top 30, have enjoyed a recent surge in popularity thanks in part to the musical Rock of Ages and numerous uses in film and television, such as “I Want to Know What Love Is” in the season finale of Orange Is the New Black. The band, synonymous with sold-out arena shows, plays an acoustic set in The Appel Room, striking to the core of timeless songs like “Waiting for a Girl Like You,” “Cold as Ice,” and “Hot Blooded.” Their album The Hits Unplugged and Live, recorded last summer in Michigan, will be released in early 2016. The band is donating royalties from this album to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
